In Spain you’re bigger than Julia Roberts. But you’re making your American movie debut in…Snakes on a Plane. Why?
When I first read the script, I was like, Snakes on a Plane, are they serious? And even though I made a lot of interesting and serious movies in Spain—my movie Ninette was nominated for seven Spanish Oscars—the title made me curious and the script was fun, so I did it. This was one of the best experiences of my career. My 15-year-old brother has never been more excited about my work.
